We've heard about problems. How about solutions?
Don’t miss your chance to collectively design the possible with Margaret Atwood, special guests, and a global community in this virtual live learning experience.
“There isn't ‘the future’ that we're doomed to enact. There are all kinds of possible futures. And which one we're going to get is going to depend on what we do now.” — Margaret Atwood
If we want to make a change or create something new so we can bring about a better future for all, we have to be able to imagine what’s possible. Not sci-fi epics or fantasies, but real, better living plans that could actually work.
That’s just what we’ll be doing together in Practical Utopias led by the legendary Margaret Atwood!
As society grapples with many complex challenges — the climate crisis and social inequalities being foremost — we need creative and collaborative people like YOU to inspire action and catalyze needed change.
Join Margaret, an all-star lineup of special guests, and a global, virtual learning community for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collectively design the possible.
You'll collaborate within the world's most creative virtual classroom to unlock practical solutions to some of humanity's greatest challenges while developing crucial skills to be a more creative, innovative, and effective change agent today. You'll also receive a commemorative, exclusive, eco-friendly NFT of your co-created practical utopia.
While the live learning experience is over, we invite you to join the Practical Utopias learning community to explore the possible futures co-created by the program's Founding Fellows.

Margaret’s work has been published in more than forty five countries. She is the award-winning author of more than fifty books of fiction, poetry, critical essays, and graphic novels. Her latest novel, The Testaments, is the long-awaited sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, now an award-winning television series. Margaret's latest book of essays, Burning Questions, was released in March, 2022. She is also the inventor of the Long Pen, now Syngraffi, a virtual signing technology.
This is your chance to contribute your unique perspective and learn how to create a future we all want to live in alongside Margaret, an all-star line-up of special guests, and a global community.
Engage in a series of collaborative and guided explorations into what is possible around food, energy, fashion, politics, technology, medicine, community, education, traditional knowledge, and the role of women and children.
In the final weeks, a visual artist will join your team to illustrate your shared vision. Together, you will present your co-created practical utopia to Margaret and a panel of special guest evaluators for feedback.
Receive a limited edition copy of your own utopia as a clean NFT on the eco-friendly Tezos blockchain. Your co-created work will also be included in a special 1-of-1 NFT to be auctioned off with a portion of proceeds going towards projects actively focused on building a better world.
Join a small group of global participants led by an expert facilitator and be invited to generate and propose concepts for your practical utopia - not a sci-fi epic or fantasy, but a possible future that really be brought to life.
You’ll walk away from this unique 8-week live learning experience having contributed to a global conversation of the possible and co-created an anthology of practical utopia designs, with an NFT to prove it!
